Jennifer Cadoff returned to school to earn her BFA in 2005, after working as a magazine editor and writer for more than twenty-five years. She recently relocated with her family from Princeton NJ, her home of nearly 20 years, to New Rochelle, New York.
For the past several years she has produced series of thematically-related images with ink on 140-pound hot-press watercolor paper. Each artwork is hand-drawn and one of a kind. She also composes collages from parts of drawings and watercolors, at times incorporating materials and techniques of hand-made book-making.
Jennifer’s work has been selected for, and won awards from, regional and national juried shows, including “America Through Artists’ Eyes” at the New Jersey State Museum, and “Jersey Women Artists Now: Contemporary Visions” at The George Segal Gallery at Montclair State University. She was a juried member of the Princeton Artists Alliance from 2012-15, and the co-op Artists’ Gallery in Lambertville, NJ, from 2005-14, where she served as co-president for 5 years. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Mercer County Culture & Heritage Collection; and she remains a signature member of the Philadelphia Watercolor Society. In Westchester County, NY, Jennifer has been juried into the Silvermine Artists Guild, the New Rochelle Artists Association and the Mamaroneck Artists Guild. Her work was selected for Art of the Northeast (AoNE) at the Silvermine Arts Center in 2017, juried by David Kiehl, Curator, Whitney Museum of Art and again in 2018, juried by Patricia Hickson, curator of contemporary art at the Wadsworth Atheneum.
